Program Details
Club Active is an over 50s’s health and wellness clinic/club that is very different from all general mainstream gyms and clubs around the Northern Beaches as Club Active provides a non-intimidating method for people in their 50’s and older to exercise at their own leisure.
As many people in this age bracket know, exercising among the younger population can be overwhelming and intimidating, hence our motto “to change the way we age and provide a non-intimidating environment”. This motto is what Club Active is all about in helping our over 50’s with their health and exercise for the future. The "change the way we age" motto means that we want the over 50’s to live longer and be able to do fun and exciting activities while they are or head into retirement.
We want our over 50’s to still participate today in leisure activities they love for management of their mental and physical health, for example be able to play golf with friends, go swimming at the beach or play with their grandkids.
We also offer a range of group fitness classes ranging from yoga and Pilates to our fun Zumba classes, Groove classes and our fun hard working Strong and Sweat classes that are monitored by our Exercise Physiologists.
Our exercise physiologists are the key difference from our competitors and other mainstream health centers as they are the experts with exercise and exercise prescription. They work closely one on one with all members at our club and are University qualified professionals with over 5 years of study on the human body and how it functions. They utilise their expertise and clinical prescription skills with the assistance of the today’s research to give the most appropriate exercise and health advice to all our members at Club Active. Common conditions that our exercise physiologists work with include diabetes, osteoporosis, low back pain, chronic heart and lung conditions, musculoskeletal injuries and many more.
All our members are given and prescribed an individual exercise program based on their health needs, personal goals, and overall motivation to feel better, live better, move better, and improve quality of life.
