Classes involve breathwork and gentle movement to build strength and mobility, and to cultivate a sense of ease and calm. You do not need to be fit or flexible to practice yoga. Your teacher will guide you to pay attention to your body and your breath, and to meet yourself with kindness, so that you can practice yoga in a way that suits you exactly how you are and moves you toward better health.
We practice both standing and, on the floor, (with a mat). Chairs will be available if needed to support you in getting down to, and up from, the floor.
Mondays 11:15am to 12:15pm including warm-up and relaxation.
$8 or $10 per class/visit
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
If you are experiencing any injuries or conditions, please let your teacher know, and tell your medical practitioner(s) that you plan to practice gentle yoga.
If you have difficulty getting to the floor and up again, the Chair Yoga that is offered at our centre may be more suitable for you.
Special requirements or conditions:
Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat if you have one.
