Program details
Bootcamp for Active Seniors is a fun and friendly, moderate exercise level, small group class. It is suitable for older adults already actively engaged in moderate to higher level exercises or movements most days of the week.
Class take place in the Metford Community Hall. The participants are enthusiastic, and enjoy the classes indoors and outdoors (undercover) - weather permitting.
Some of the regular exercises include circuit-style stations, including:
- Speed Ladder - moving in forward, backward, lateral and diagonal steps
- Balance and stability movements, including Single Leg Hold, Heel/Toe Walks
- Lunges in different directions
- Chest, Back, Shoulder, Leg, Core and Glute strengthening movements including Presses, Rows, Shrugs, Pullup, Rotational, Hinge and Squat exercises
- Major joint mobility and muscle strengthening exercises
- Movements to support increased coordination and proprioception
- Equipment used can include weighted bars, kettlebells, dumbbells, parallel bars, TRX straps, variety of resistance bands, step boxes, BOSU, battleropes, powerbags, swissballs, and rower machines.

Opening hours:
Wednesdays: 8am (45 minutes).
Bootcamp for Active Seniors runs all year round except Public Holidays, and as advertised. The classes are run by an Accredited and Registered Personal Trainer/Pilates Instructor.

Cost per visit: $13 or Block 10 sessions $100

50 Plus, 55 Plus, 60 Plus, 65 Plus
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
This is not a beginners group, and participants must already be physically active at an intermediate level. <br /><br />
Suitable for older adults who are already familiar with using 'gym' type equipment, and who are willing to take direction re form correction, appropriate weight and when to progress.
Special requirements or conditions:
Clients should wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes, and bring their own water bottle, towel and floor mat.
