Program details

Bit of a Stretch Pilates offers a 60 minute mat class to the over 50's.

Pilates is a low impact form of exercise that not only helps with balance, flexibility and strength, it can enhance your overall well-being.

A good Pilates class incorporates mind, body and breath and offers many benefits such as improving strength, core, balance, mobility and co-ordination. Exercises are non-impact and can be tailored to suit the class ability. W

e work primarily with our own body weight but also utilise small equipment such as TheraBands, wobble cushions and soft balls.

No experience is necessary and both men and women are welcomed.

Opening hours:

Wednesdays

  • 9:00am to 10:00am

Class runs every week unless notified of closure

Cost:

$15 per class (payable on the day)

Target age:

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Participants must have a basic level of fitness and be able to get up and down from a mat without assistance. It is not suitable for anyone with dementia or cognitive impairment.

Special requirements or conditions:

Participants are asked to bring their own mat (for hygiene reasons) and we work in bare feet or grippy socks.
Long comfortable pants and clothes that allow full range of movement are preferred.
