Program details

Class specific to older adults, focusing on mobility through all joints, strength, stability & cognitive processing.

The class involves an extended warm-up, inclusive of qi gong for its benefits in decreasing inflammation & allowing energy to flow more freely. The body of the class focuses on strength exercise with light weights &/or therabands & static & dynamic stability exercise to improve balance for prevention of falls & to maintain independence & quality of life. The class fished with a cool down, brain gym & stretch movement

Opening hours:

  • Tuesdays, 12pm during School terms.
  • First class starts on 17th Feb 2026. 
  • Not available on Public Holidays.

Cost:

$22.00 per class or if 5 pass or 10 pass purchased, the cost is discounted to $20.00

Target age:

65 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

All reasons stated above, plus those who have fallen more than once.

Special requirements or conditions:

Safe & Comfortable shoes appropriate for exercise. Have water handy to stay hydrated

Beginner

Leader qualifications:

Fitness Leader - Registered Cert III

Fitness Leader - Registered Cert IV
