If you want to maintain mobility, strength, balance, and independence this is the class for you.

This program brings together evidence-based exercise principles-functional strength, balance, mobility, posture, and cognitive training. We will incorporate seasonal breathing, myofascial release, and mindful movement. This course will empower you with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to move more freely, build functional strength, improve balance, support healthy ageing, and enjoy everyday activities with greater ease and vitality.

By the end of the program, participants will feel stronger and more energetic, move with greater confidence, improve balance and reduce falls risk, improve posture, increase flexibility and mobility, strengthen their core for better spinal support, improve coordination and brain-body connection, learn techniques for relaxation and wellbeing, gain tools to maintain health and independence, and feel confident exercising at home.

This program is designed to help you:

  • Improve mobility and movement quality.
  • Build strength for everyday activities.
  • Enhance balance and coordination.
  • Develop greater body awareness and posture.
  • Enhance brain health through coordinated movement and cognitive challenges.
  • Learn practical strategies to support healthy ageing.

Each class session includes:

  • 15 min warm up to lubricate joints, improve circulation & mobility
  • 20 min function and postural correction strength and core training , brain training
  • 15 min stretch and myofascial release
  • 5 min Seasonal Breathing practice
  • 5 min guided relaxation.

Types of equipment used

Chair, pilates ball, weights, small bands, long bands, block. Seated exercise alternatives can be provided for students who need additional options.

Please note: Weekly content may vary based on participant needs, abilities and seasonal themes. Equipment may be used to provide additional challenge and variety.

Opening hours:

This course is available in two different dates:

  • Thursdays, 10:00 am to 11:00 am, from 15 October to 3 December (8 sessions).
  • Saturdays, 10:00 am to 11:00 am, from 10 October to 5 December (9 sessions).

Cost:

$252 for the 9 sessions.
