Program Details
Active Exercise class for Senior’s seeking to maintain and or improve their overall physical & emotional well-being, stay active, improve quality of life & maintain independence.
Typical class consists of full body warm up (tai chi related), low impact aerobics, functional strength exercises, balance exercises, “brain-training” exercises, gentle stretches & even some relaxation. The program is designed to improve stamina, strength, posture, mobility, co-ordination & mental sharpness. More specifically, the program helps those manage and or improve conditions such as loss of balance, osteoporosis, arthritis and cardiovascular conditions. Some classes involve floor exercises working on maintaining the ability to get down/up from the floor with ease. Seated exercises are included & chairs are available for assistance but participants need the stamina to last 60 minutes without needing to sit down.

$17 (payment casual basis no fixed contracts) per class/visit
