Program details
Stepping On is a seven-week group-based program designed for people who are living at home and have experienced a fall or are concerned about falling.
Stepping On is free for adults over the age of 65 years or Aboriginal adults over the age of 45 years.
It covers a range of issues, including falls and risk, strength and balance exercises, home hazards, safe footwear, vision and falls, safety in public places and community mobility. The program is delivered in weekly two-hour sessions for seven weeks, with talks from experts on falls prevention topics. We also offer complimentary morning tea.
No prior knowledge or exercise experience is required!

Wednesdays: 10:00am to 12:00pm
Stepping On run during school terms.
Cost:
If you have been assessed by My Aged Care and have been approved for aged care services, you may be eligible for full or partial funding through CHSP ($5 fee required) or your Home Care Package.
If you have not been assessed by My Aged Care, you are able to join and pay privately ($35 per session) and may be eligible for funding through your Private Health Insurer or Medicare.

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
Stepping On is not suitable for people with dementia or progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease.
Special requirements or conditions:
Comfortable clothes and closed comfortable footwear.
