Program details

Onero is an evidence-based exercise program designed specifically to prevent fracture due to osteoporosis by stimulating bone development and preventing falls in at-risk individuals.

Each class is 60 minutes in duration and run multiple times per week. The program is suitable for anyone with osteoporosis or osteopenia, or anyone who wants to take care of their bones and feel stronger and healthier.

What does the onboarding into the ONERO program look like:

  1. Each participant begins with a comprehensive 60 minute initial consultation with their AEP where balance and strength levels are assessed.
  2. Two subsequent 30 minute consultations follow, with the focus of teaching you the required movement patterns and exercises.
  3. These sessions ensure you're fully confident and competent in performing the exercises safely before transitioning into our group classes. Additional one on one support can be provided until you feel comfortable.
  4. You'll then participate in engaging, supervised 60 minute group sessions held twice per week, adhering to the evidence-based recommendations from the Bone Clinic.

The classes are capped at 8 attendees to ensure quality and monitoring throughout. One-on-one sessions are available for anyone who prefers one-on-one support.

The classes include:

  • Weight bearing exercises
  • Balance and functional movements
  • Core strengthening
  • An in-depth re-assessment is conducted every 12months scheduled in advance according to ONERO guidelines.
