Program details

Our specialised Parkins program-based gym classes are built and designed around your specific needs. This class runs for 1 hour in a small group environment.

This is a program designed to empower people affected by Parkinson's disease to take control of their health and get the most out of life.

This class is run by an Exercise Physiologist on Mondays, and a Physiotherapist on Tuesdays, where an assessment is completed prior to commencing the class, so we can ensure you are working towards your needs and goals in life, and to ensure you are building strength, balance and mobility.

Parkinson's Plus Program is an evidence drive, exercise-based therapy program.

• 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Tuesdays

• 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Not available on public holidays

Cost:

Initial Assessment: $105 (1 hour)
10-week group class environment: $40 per class
Review after 10 week: $105 (1 hour)We welcome our patients to continue with the weekly PD program once they have finalised their initial 10-week program.
Heath Care rebates are available to all patients with extras cover

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

This program is specifically designed for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease as well as those who have been living with the diagnosis.
We also request a referral from your specialist or GP to better understand your needs and where you are currently assessed.

Special requirements or conditions:

Patients should wear something comfortable, appropriate footwear for a gym environment and please bring water
