Living Longer Living Stronger is a progressive strength and balance program designed specifically for older adults. Each 60-minute session focuses on improving muscle strength, bone density, balance, coordination, and overall functional fitness to support healthy ageing and independent living.
Led by qualified, supportive instructors, the program is tailored to individual needs, with exercises that are safe, effective, and adaptable whether you're new to exercise or returning after a break. Participants complete a personalised assessment to ensure the program meets their fitness level and goals.

Our programs are scheduled to run during the school terms, with clear term calendars provided to help participants stay informed about start and end dates.
Please note that classes are not held on public holidays.
Cost:
The Living Longer Living Stronger program at Redfern is available for $75 per full term (10 weeks).
As this class is already subsidised, no additional offers or discounts apply.

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
While the Living Longer Living Stronger Vaucluse program is designed to accommodate a wide range of older adults, certain participants may not be suitable without prior medical clearance or additional support. This includes individuals with severe cognitive impairments or advanced dementia, those who have recently undergone major surgery or have unstable medical conditions, and participants who require walking aids for significant mobility support or are unable to safely manage stairs at a normal pace. In such cases, a health professionals approval and tailored modifications would be necessary to ensure participant safety.
Special requirements or conditions:
Yes, participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing such as long pants and supportive footwear suitable for exercise and floor work. It is recommended that participants bring their own water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel or exercise mat if they prefer extra comfort during floor exercises. For safety, participants should inform instructors of any health concerns or mobility limitations before starting the program.

The venue is located at 80 New South Head Road, Vaucluse NSW 2030. Parking is readily available on nearby side streets, including Fitzwilliam Road and Vaucluse Road, with limited spots available directly on New South Head Road. For public transport users, the nearest bus stop is located approximately 300 metres west of the venue on New South Head Road (served by Bus Routes 324 and 325). From the bus stop, head east along New South Head Road towards Vaucluse. Entry is via the main front entrance, which is wheelchair accessible. Please note: no rear access is available at this venue.
