Program details
Our exercise program is specially designed to support the health and wellbeing of older adults through safe, effective, and enjoyable movement. Each session focuses on progressive resistance training, balance, flexibility, and functional fitness to help improve strength, mobility, and confidence in daily activities.
Classes are tailored to suit all fitness levels, with modifications provided to accommodate individual needs and physical abilities. Exercises include the use of resistance bands, light weights, and bodyweight movements, all delivered in a friendly and supportive group environment by qualified instructors.
Each class runs for 60 minutes and is held twice weekly to ensure consistency and progress. Whether you're looking to stay active, regain strength, or maintain independence, our program offers a safe and social space to move with confidence.

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
While the Living Longer Living Stronger program is designed to be accessible for most older adults, there are certain participants who may not be suitable for the program without modifications or additional support. Individuals with significant cognitive impairment or dementia may struggle to follow instructions or participate safely, and those with serious mobility limitations, such as those who rely on walking aids or are unable to walk independently, may find it difficult to engage in standing balance exercises. Participants recovering from recent surgery, especially hip, knee, or joint procedures, may need to wait until they have sufficiently recovered before joining the program. Additionally, individuals who cannot perform basic movements like going up and down stairs or standing up from a chair may face challenges with the functional exercises included. Those with severe orthopedic conditions, uncontrolled medical conditions, or significant frailty may also require specialised care or clearance from a healthcare provider before participating. In these cases, modifications or a more individualised approach may be needed to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Special requirements or conditions:
Our Living Longer Living Stronger program has a few basic requirements to ensure safety, comfort, and effectiveness. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for a full range of movement. Supportive, close-toe-shoes with a non-slip sole are required to provide proper stability during standing and balance exercises. Participants should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the class. Before starting the program, participants may be asked to complete a SF-36 Health Questionnaire Form to ensure that they are fit to participate. These simple requirements help ensure that all participants are prepared and able to engage safely and effectively in the program.
