Program details
The Balanced Bunch class is designed for people aged over 55yrs and is conducted by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
Using evidence based exercises to support mobility and independence, this circuit style class offers 20 different exercises to challenge static and dynamic balance, upper and lower limb strength and dual tasking ability.
The Balanced Bunch promotes physical activity to improve functional capacity and reduce falls risk within an engaging and fun environment, whilst also offering social support and an inclusive class setting.
Location: Laurieton United Services Club (LUSC), Tarcoola Room.
Time: Allow 1 hr per class, including warm up and cool down activities
Post class: A number of participants remain at the LUSC for a social chat

- Tuesday 10.15am and 11.15 am
- Thursday 11.15am
Cost:
Initial Assessment $109
$15 per class
$10 per class if purchasing a prepaid 10 class pack (total cost $100) - flexible use
Initial assessment and class costs may be claimable via your private health insurance fund under Extras Cover

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
This class requires a degree of independence and capacity to move around in a large space safely and confidently.
Those with dementia, cognitive impairment or mobility issues (including use of mobility aids) may be eligible to attend if adequate supports are able to be in place for every class. In these instances, each individual case will be assessed during the initial assessment process and eligibility determined based on safety and capabilities. Please ask at time of enquiry if unsure.
Special requirements or conditions:
You are required to be a Social member of the LUSC (2025-26 fee schedule: 1 year = $14, 5 years = $50, Life = $120)
Participants should wear comfortable clothing and footwear that is appropriate for exercise. Water is available, however, bringing your own bottle is encouraged.

The LUSC opens at 10am, entry via the main door. Parking available in Seymour St or in either of the 2 carpark areas (across the road or on the river side of the Club building).
