Program details

Better Bones is a small group class designed for those with a diagnosis of osteoporosis, anyone identified with low bone density or those who may be at risk of developing osteoporosis.

It is a small group, evidence based class that follows current clinical guidelines for the management of osteoporosis. The class incorporates the recommended resistance training, weight bearing/impact and balance exercises to help maintain bone density, improve strength, posture, stability and reduce fracture risk.

Classes are conducted by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist or a Physiotherapist who provide expert guidance in a welcoming group environment.

Better Bones provides individualised exercise programming to support bone health. Each participants program is developed based on initial assessments and measures, and aligns with their needs and goals. These programs and exercises are reviewed regularly within the class and progressions made as appropriate.

Allow 1 hr per class, including warm up and cool down activities.
