Program details
This gentle exercise program is tailored for women over 65 years, wanting to maintain their strength, stability & cognitive ability to prevent falls & to stay independent. Movement includes standing & seated work, gentle range of Motion through joints & Qigong to warm up (15 minutes). The class includes strength with light weights or a resistance band, static & dynamic stability. Some light aerobic movement for coordination & brain gym for cognitive health. Class finishes with stretching in a chair & behind the chair for support.
Opening hours:
- Tuesdays, 10 am - 11am
- Classes run in school terms, not available Public Holidays.

$20.00 per class
Target age:
65 Plus
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
Those who need a walking aid to walk. Those who have had 2 falls or more
Special requirements or conditions:
Good fitting, safe & comfortable shoes appropriate for exercising

Beginner
Leader qualifications:
Fitness Leader - Registered Cert III
Fitness Leader - Registered Cert IV
