Program details

The Social Dance Studio offers Ballroom, Latin and Swing social dancing lessons, as well as Callanetics classes, and Zumba aimed at the more mature mover.

Based in Braidwood NSW and teaching throughout the Palerang region.

Opening hours:

• Social dancing classes are currently offered on Thursdays and Sundays in Braidwood.
• Move It or Lose It classes are offered on Thursdays in Braidwood.
• Private lessons are available by appointment.

Cost:

Dance group classes and Callanetics group classes run for one hour and cost $20 per person.
Zumba group classes run for 30 minutes and cost $10 per person.
Private lessons are available by appointment.

Target age:

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Classes are unsuitable for those with dementia or cognitive impairment, immediately post-surgery without health professional's clearance, those with walking aids or those who cannot get onto or off the floor unaided.

Special requirements or conditions:

Unsuitable footwear includes thongs/flip-flops, sandals, mules and similar.
Callanetics participants must bring a yoga/exercise mat and towel.
Zumba participants must bring a towel.
